| | |  | | Armed with the ABCs (Art, Business,
Communications) from VA Tech in 1997 I made way to New England to start
the first chapter of my career.
Chapter 1: Commercial Printing with Phoenix Offset in Portsmouth, NH -
starting in customer service I learned the ins and outs of the printing business. With a desire to use my creative talents I moved into Electronic Prepress/Desktop Publishing and then apprenticed
Drum Scanning/Color Management/Photoshop. In two years I was managing the Prepress department
across two shifts and participating in operational team meetings to help shape the future of the company.
Chapter 2: Freelance Graphic Design throughout New England
Chapter 3: Commercial Printing with Journeyman Press in Newburyport, MA - here I focused on drum scanning, color management, image manipulation with some desktop publishing and electronic prepress work. After a year and a half my fiancé wanted to move out of the Northeast so we headed to sunny San Diego, CA.
Chapter 4: Graphic Designer for Tyco International in San Diego, CA
